  • Eaton’s Lightweight Model is a Heavyweight at the OTC Show

    Eaton typically shows full size product displays, but for bigger products a full size display can be cumbersome and costly to display at trade shows.  For the new Eaton Airflex Water Cooled Brake a product cut-away from CalCo was just the right solution to show the technology in a lightweight and easily handled manner.  While the actual product is 42″ across and requires a forklift to move at tradeshows, the cutaway can be lifted and moved safely by a tradeshow worker.  CalCo’s solution is a hybrid display using a lightweight scale model with real metal fasteners.  The result shows how the product looks and functions in a lighter weight but realistic looking display.  The scale model is less than half the size of the original at 18 inches across. It has over 450 real metal fasteners but the main body portion is made from lightweight plastic.  The detail on the model makes it indistinguishable from the real product and with a section cutaway, the functionality of the product is on full display. The model is so realistic that it can be actuated as it would be in the field, providing customers with a representative example of the inner workings of the product.  The CalCo display is a great solution for a heavy problem!

  • Look at these Dazzling Cutaway Displays of Polished Stainless Steel and Chrome!

    These displays are designed to catch your customers attention and keep it. The stainless steel and chrome practically glow when highly hand polished. The finish is labor intensive but the effect is well worth it.

    These strainers were cutaway to show the interior so the customer can see the high quality of the construction and design.  The interior was painted and the stainless parts were hand polished to create the bright finish.  The displays were fitted to bases and then into cases with custom foam inserts so they are easily moved without getting damaged.  All of these services were provided by CalCo with a careful eye on the details. Our goal is to make you and your product look great.

  • Eye-Catching Displays Can Make Your Booth More Power-Full

    Walking around the show floor at the recent Power-Gen Show in Las Vegas, it is clear an abundance of power solutions are available, and the market is growing.

    One of the larger exhibitors at the show, Leslie Controls, Inc. (designer and manufacturer of control valves for over a century – providing ZERO LEAK control valves for the power generation, industrial, marine and oil and gas markets), took advantage of their open booth design by placing product and information at every corner of the booth. The overall look was fantastic and drew in many people to learn more about Leslie Controls, and how their product’s advantages set them apart.

    The company conveyed to us how they wanted the mixer to look, including cut area and color scheme matching, we replicated those instructions and included this rail and T block support system which resembles the system used in the field.     Sometimes history goes back such a long way, it is difficult to fully grasp what a phrase like “for over 50 years” really implies. In fact, CalCo is getting close to the 60 year mark, and with this landmark anniversary comes a treasure trove of knowledge and experience.
